The J Family, Dallas Family Photographer

Wrapping up January with the J family, friends for 20+ years, which makes me feel both old and thankful. Seeing girlfriends I grew up with with little ones of their own puts a huge smile on my face, and getting to photograph them with their whole family when everyone is in town at the same time is such an honor. I love the connection between siblings and cousins, and I'm excited to see how this crew continues to grow and change. Here's your sneak peek, J family. Can't wait to show the full set of proofs!

The Happiest Baby I Know, Dallas Family Photographer

Let's talk about this session for a minute. One of my best friends had a baby a few months ago, but she lives in Taiwan, so I didn't get to meet him until a few weeks ago when they came home for a visit.  Let me just say this little guy had me at hello.  He is all smiles and laughs, and even when he's sleepy or hungry, he's low-key about it. And he's stinkin' cute, the perfect addition to transform a couple into a family. I loved doing these photos and hope we manage a few more before they head home. Because, really, when you meet the happiest baby in the world, why wouldn't you want to take his photo?

When It Goes to the Dogs, Fort Worth Family Photographer

I love when family sessions mean photographing pets, especially when the dogs involved in the session are playful and friendly. I'm not going to lie, dogs are challenging.  They move fast and cannot be bribed. But watching a couple interact with their furry friends on a Sunday afternoon?  It's capturing the good stuff of life. Here's your sneak peek, S family.  Can't wait to share your full set of proofs.

The Rs Holiday Card Session Never Gets Old, Dallas Family Photographer

When I started doing photos for this crew, the kids were babies. It's been four years now, and I love how these kids have grown and changed over time. It amazes me that we're having full on conversations and that the kids' opinions come with colorful explanations rather than toddler clarity ("NO!"). They continue to impress me with their love for each other and their ease at being themselves. I suppose those two things are evidence of well-loved kids, and that is exactly who these two are: loved. We had a great time at the Grapevine Train Station, and I'm excited to share a sneak peek of the results.

It's Been Five Years, Dallas Family Photographer

Seeing this family always brightens my day.  It's been five years since I started doing their photos. FIVE! The elder of the two brothers was brand new then, and I was in my first year of business.  It's amazing to see how the little man has grown, and I loved seeing his baby brother-turned-toddler as well.  How gorgeous are these boys?  The session was busy, as sessions with two little boys often are, and it was the fun kind of busy. The boys ran and chased and hugged and laughed. It was the day after a rock-and-roll fifth birthday parth, and their parents fretted that the pink dye that rockstar birthday boys sported in their hair might show up in the photos.  It didn't. What did show up was love and joy and lots of it.
