He'd had a rough week leading up to his baptism, but Jack showed up wide-eyed and big smiles (as long as the camera wasn't pointed his way). I love when families commit to capturing the most sacred moments in their lives, and that's what these images have done for Jack and his family. I loved the way their church community gathered around the babies they baptized, recognition of the role everyone plays in bringing a little one up in the faith. It was a perfect way to get ready for Easter.

We met when he was just a week old, and I was so thankful to get to do photos celebrating James' brand new life. He had the most calm disposition (as long as he wasn't getting his clothing changed), and his parents are absolutely in love with their tiny man. I love the photos, especially the series of his sweet little yawn. Doesn't a newborn yawn make everything seem right in the world?

She picked a triad of locations in close proximity, and we set out for a morning of adventures, playing at the park and choosing lunches at the food park before wrapping up with cupcakes. The mix was just right for a busy toddler and his 5-year-old sister. The kids were great, and by the end of the session I'd made two new pint-sized friends while learning where to find the best tacos in Fort Worth. I love the end result and am so excited to share a sneak peek of this session.

In retrospect, I'm glad, because this year the bluebonnets are as beautiful as I ever remember them being. All throughout the session, S kept asking if she could just play in the bluebonnets, and there's something just right about a little girl dancing her way through a field of flowers. We had perfect spring weather and a gorgeous field to work with, but in reality, any session with Miss S is fantastic, because she's such a lovely little lady. I especially love the photos with her mama...

I met Baby A when he was just two weeks old (see the blog here), so I was excited to see him again this weekend. What a darling little man he is. He started out showing off his serious side, but we got warmed up. And then he smiled and smiled and smiled and smiled, and he laughed and smiled some more. Is there anything sweeter than a new walker doing his best between his mom and dad? Maybe seeing how big their baby smiled when he caught their eye. Baby A knows he's loved; it's written all over his face. When I see that through my lens, it makes my day. Just a quick sneak peek for tonight...
